''I am a wine enthusiast. My first real introduction to wines was years ago at University through the wines of Chablis and Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie. Today I enjoy the tasting wines from all over the globe, but I still love the wines of Chablis and also enjoy the wines of Southern Italy and the Champagne area.
My last visit to a wine area was to Bordeaux where i visited a number of Chateau across the region. Loved the wines of Sauternes.
This January I was at the Guildhall in London for the WSET Diploma presentation.
Having just completed the Champagne ML program, I am now working on the Bordeaux program. I enjoy these course as it helps to focus on specific areas that I have an interest with.
The wine tasting suggestions within the Master-Level program do help with understanding the differences in the specific regions and also encourage you to go out and try different producers and styles of wines.
Having visited the areas that I have studied or am studying does allow for a better context of the areas. The historical references are also very useful in putting everything in perspective.
